Protecting Your Hair Color Against the Summer Solar Rays

Protecting our skin against solar rays is something that may come naturally to us. Ultra violet rays type A and B does not only cause havoc to our skin, but also to our hair and scalp. These rays have the power to cause internal damage to the cuticle and scalp. This damage manifests in the form of brittleness, split ends, hair loss, breakage and loss of color pigmentation. Color fade is a major concern for women who enjoy trips to the beach and sunbathing during the hot summer days, when ultra violet rays are the most strongest. Keep in mind that no matter the season, you still need protection from these rays. To calculate how much protection you are getting with your SPF product, multiply it by the minutes it takes you to get burned.
