Once established, it can help you and your stylist choose the most flattering style. There are four basic face shapes: oval, round, heart, and square. Other shapes include: triangle/pear, diamond, and rectangle/oblong. Tools Needed: A mirror, pencil/pen, paper and measuring tape How to measure your face (make sure to write your measurements): 1. First, measure across the top of your cheekbones. 2. Then measure across your jawbone, from widest point to widest point (width) 3. Third, measure across your forehead at the widest point (somewhere between your eyes and hairline) 4.
