Home Hair Coloring: Tips on How to Reduce Your Anxiety and Increase Your Confidence

We take pride on being self-sufficient. In fact, as parents we encourage our children to be independent from a very early age. Do-It-Yourself (DIY) projects are increasingly becoming  more and more like a staple for cautious spending. As a colorist, I do not condemn the use of store bought color. I believe people have needs and sometimes their resources cannot fully meet them. Another driving force to an increase in DIY home coloring, is today's economy and the Covid-19 Pandemic. Many men and women are finding very difficult to see their stylists on a regular basis, so they take the DIY challenge to save money and time. However, with any undertaken challenge comes a mixture of emotions. Going to a drug store to choose the perfect hair color shade can be a very daunting experience. The biggest obstacle for women (and men) is choosing the right shade. Manufacturers do a fantastic campaign job ( with high profile models and actresses) to allure consumers to believe that home

--> Marias Arias, Owner of Nolan Vincent Salon, makes great strides to give her clients an experience to remember. From great hair color to amazing scalp massages and hair treatments.  This year, Rene Furterer Hair Care invited Maria to style hair at the Fall/Winter 2014 Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week . Rene Furterer is a luxurious hair care line whose motto is all about “Healthy Scalp-Healthy Hair” Their products are plant based without parabens, synthetic silicones and sulfates.  Under lead stylist, Didier Malige, Maria styled hair for designer Scott Sternberg of Band of Outsiders . The designer is known for his “modern, rebellious take on American style,” providing   “classics-with-a-twist.”    The hairstyle of choice was a textured ponytail to reflect the collection and Band of Outsiders unique style. For this look, Maria used Rene Furterer’s Volumea Volumizing Conditioning Spray , Naturia Dry Shampoo and Vegetal Finishing Spray . V

COLOR MELTING: THE HOTTEST NEW TREND!

COLOR MELTING is a new term describing a blend of color/tones. It's Ombre but more subtle, yet strikingly beautiful in my opinion.  I ABSOLUTELY love it!!! and my clients do too! It's the hottest trend right now. It's dimensional and has a natural flow. While it can be created with foils, my method of choice is Balayage.  This method gives color melting a more softer look. The best thing about Color Melting is its low maintenance. No need to be a the salon every 5-8 weeks. It can take months for a salon visit! So instead of  creating a hole in your pockets, it leaves extra to spend on shoes or things you like. To get this look visit Nolan Vincent Salon Tuesday-Saturday or call 954-616-8817  to make your color melting appointment!!! Here are example of people rocking it!!! Ombre By Maria Arias

My article featured on Our City Weston Magazine. After so many years of seeing the the original Ombre, we are now enjoying a more  subtle Ombre. I wasn't crazy for the original ombre. In Fact,  I have been doing subtle Ombre since the original Ombre became a trend.  I always told my clients that Subtle Ombre was more timeless and more natural. They agreed and they loved it!
